'Children's Voices' Short Film: A Factory in Bangladesh Makes it Possible for a Mother to Return to Work

Nasima Begum, 29, is garment worker in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Together with her husband and two young children, they live in a small apartment on the outskirts of the city. Before she became a mother at the age of 19, both she and her husband worked full-time to make ends meet. However, after the birth of her son, Nasima found it was impossible to go back to her old job because there was no one available to look after her child.

When her second child came along, a daughter called Nadiya, Nasima once again faced the same challenge: How could she support her family financially while also take care of her child?

Luckily this time there was a solution. She found an employer that supports working mothers.
