Event | Dialogue on Child Rights Risks & the Supply Chain Act

Save the Children Germany and The Centre for Child Rights and Business are jointly hosting a dialogue for companies in Germany on child rights risks, scheduled for November 8, 2023. The session will be divided into two segments: a discussion focused on production from 10:00 to 12:30 CET, followed by a discussion focused around agriculture from 14:00 to 16:30 CET.

In May, we published a study titled "Child Rights Risks in Global Supply Chains: Why a 'Zero Tolerance' Approach is Not Enough." The meta-analysis, spanning industries including production (textiles and toys), agriculture, and mining, has shown the most substantial instances of child rights violations and has offered concrete pathways for companies to take action.

Through this dialogue, we are eager to learn about the specific child rights violations your company may currently confront and explore potential strategies to address them. We would also like to hear from your experiences in implementing the Supply Chain Due Diligence Act thus far. To attend, please register here.

Following a succinct overview of the study's overarching findings and sector-specific insights, tailored to the focus group's interests, we will provide a secure space for confidential discussions on these issues. This forum presents an opportunity for you to share your accomplishments and hurdles in the pursuit of equitable supply chains.
