ETI Insights Webinar: Mined Minerals & Metals – Challenges & Opportunities in HRDD | April 3

The energy sector, particularly renewable energy, is one of many reliant on mined minerals and metals, the extraction of which often involves serious human rights risks, including labour exploitation, environmental harm, and violations of indigenous rights. Despite growing awareness, companies continue to face significant challenges in conducting effective supply chain due diligence, particularly beyond their tier one suppliers.

Ethical Trading Initiative (ETI) is hosting an Insights Webinar on April 3 that will draw upon new research to explore these challenges alongside practical approaches to improving supply chain mapping. Joined by experts actively working in this space, including The Centre’s Director of Services – Europe, Africa and Americas, the webinar will also discuss the role of multistakeholder initiatives in mitigating risks and strengthening corporate responsibility. So while policymakers may delay action on these issues, there's plenty companies can be doing to act responsibly.
