Save the Children and The Centre for Child Rights and Business launched the study ‘The role of the Dutch Finance Sector in Improving Children’s Rights in Cobalt Artisanal and Small-Scale Mining’ at a virtual event on May 10.

The study encourages investors to use their leverage to combat child labour and related negative impacts. In the world where the transition to a green economy is urgent, the demand for cobalt will only increase. Moving away from cobalt is not an option, but improving the circumstances is.
