UNICEF Supply Chain Mapping in Bangladesh

The Centre for Child Rights and Business partnered with UNICEF Netherlands to conduct a supply chain mapping exercise with selected Tier 1 and two Tier 2 suppliers for two international brands under the Dutch Fund against Child Labour (FBK) project. 

Using a consultative approach in a capacity building setting, we organised workshops for Tier 1 and Tier 2 factories on supply chain risk management to build trust and enhance their ability to identify and address issues, and at the same time collect information and suppliers’ insights, which will be useful for brands in their supply chain mapping endeavours. 

Learning from the project was used to provide inputs for the FLA guidance document for improving policies and practices on child labour, prepared as part of the project titled “Remedies Towards a Better Workplace”, as part of the Dutch Agreement on Sustainable Garment and Textiles (AGT).
