Retailers and Brands: Join our Online Discussion on Creating a Family-Friendly Tea Industry

With research and articles on the tea sector around the world focusing on the challenges and violations within the tea industry, it is time to flip the conversation and talk about positive steps that the industry is taking to identify and address some of these challenges.

Join us on November 1 for the “Sip & Share Roundtable Discussion”, in London and online. We’ll embark on practical discussions with tea companies and share experiences from the Mother and Child-friendly Seal for Responsible Business initiative. Launched in Sri Lanka in collaboration with Save the Children and key tea industry stakeholders, this initiative is setting a global benchmark and guiding Sri Lanka's tea industry towards a future that prioritises the well-being of mothers, children, and families. 

During this roundtable discussion, you will: 

• Explore how tea companies are championing families on their estates and reshaping the local tea industry through responsible business practices.
• Highlight actionable strategies which can promote positive change in the tea sector and strengthen support for women and families on tea estates.
• Share insights and key learnings from the Mother and Child Friendly Seal  for Responsible Business initiative in Sri Lanka, including how to apply learnings to your tea supply chain.
• Key learnings from the recent “Co-Creating Family-Friendly Tea Industry” conference in Colombo, which brought together over 100 delegates representing key stakeholders in Sri Lanka’s tea industry to discuss how to advance responsible business practices in the tea industry.
