The Centre Partners with Innovation Forum’s Responsible Sourcing and Ethical Trade Forum 2027

The Centre for Child Rights and Business is partnering with Innovation Forum’s Responsible Sourcing and Ethical Trade Forum, taking place in London on March 17–18, 2027. The partnership will include a breakout session on tackling child labour in supply chains, bringing together business perspectives and experience from across the value chain.

Responsible sourcing involves more than setting expectations for suppliers. It requires businesses to understand the risks within their supply chains, engage with suppliers at different levels and take action on issues such as child labour.

These questions will be among those explored at Innovation Forum’s Responsible Sourcing and Ethical Trade Forum 2027. Bringing together more than 200 senior leaders from global brands, suppliers, investors, policymakers and civil society, the two-day event offers a space to exchange experiences and discuss how businesses can respond to the challenges facing responsible sourcing.

Bringing business perspectives to the discussion on child labour

As part of the partnership, The Centre will help design a breakout session focused on tackling child labour in supply chains. The session will bring together brands we work with to share experiences, discuss practical approaches and explore what stronger responsible business practices look like across supply chains.

Drawing on perspectives from different parts of the value chain, the discussion will look at how businesses can strengthen their approaches to identifying and addressing child labour risks, including through closer engagement with suppliers and other supply chain partners.

The Centre’s Senior VP, Mark Robertson, will also join the Forum, contributing to discussions with business leaders and other stakeholders working to advance responsible sourcing.
