New Child Rights Tools for Smallholders and Mid-Sized Palm Oil Plantations in Malaysia

The Child Rights Action Hub Malaysia has soft-launched seven practical child rights tools to help smallholders and mid-sized palm oil plantations identify, prevent and address child rights risks in their operations and supply chains.

The tools were developed through consultation and validation with plantation companies, supply chain actors, smallholders, cooperatives and civil society organisations. Two virtual validation workshops held in May brought together 33 participants from 12 organisations, whose feedback contributed to the finalisation and formatting of the tools.

What’s next?

Put the tools into practice. Mid-sized plantations are invited to join dedicated workshops to explore how these tools can help identify and address child rights risks.
