'Children's Voices' Short Film: A Boy's Experience at a Child Friendly Space

Meet Wu Rongxuan, an energetic 11-year old boy from Hubei Province in China. Full of smiles and goofy gestures on the outside, Rongxuan actually has a bittersweet story to tell. He is one of China's many left-behind children, who only sees his parents for about one month of the year. They work in a factory in south China to financially support him, but must sacrifice having a physical presence in his life. This arrangement has been tough on the whole family, but this year, the family got the best surprise: the factory where his parents work set up a Child Friendly Space, allowing Wu Rongxuan to spend his entire summer holidays with his parents for the first time ever. 

The following short film was produced by The Centre (formerly CCR CSR) and Global Child Forum to give a voice to children who've benefited from business' actions to support them and their working parents.
