Watch: UN RBHRF Session on the Role of Business in Mitigating the Social Impact of the COVID-19 Crisis on Workers and Families

On June 9, 2020 CCR CSR’s Executive Director Ines Kaempfer* facilitated a session on “The Role of Business in Mitigating the Social Impact of the COVID-19 Crisis on Workers and Families” at the UN Virtual Forum on Business and Human Rights. 

The informative session included a wide range of speakers including Alex Heikens from UNICEF, Tatsuya Hamada of Mobicom Corporation, Ellen Maynes from IFC, Nguyen Quang Vinh from the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), Sarah Knibbs from UN Women Regional Office for Asia, Riri Malikah and Hsar Moo from CCR CSR who gave on-the-ground updates on the situation of workers during COVID-19 in Indonesia and Myanmar respectively. Last but not least, Alice Yeung from Golden Cup Printing, a factory in south China, also shared her factory’s experience in opening a Child Friendly Space to support migrant parent workers.
