In the summer of 2014, CCR CSR (known as The Centre for Child Rights and Business since 2021) cooperated with China Electronic Standardization Association (CESA) to conduct detailed research on the growing challenges in the electronics manufacturing sector with regards to effective management and retention of the young workforce (under 26 years old).
The results highlight an important gap between the management practice and existing workers’ needs, in particular due to entrenched perception of the importance of salary over effective communication, engagement and personal development opportunities. The infographic, which can be downloaded on this page for easier viewing, highlights the study's key findings.
