Watch the Webinar Recording: Answering the Human Rights Due Diligence Call: Addressing Child Labour in ASM Copper-Cobalt


On September 18, 2024 The Hub for Child Labour Prevention and Remediation (‘The Hub’) and the Fair Cobalt Alliance co-organised a webinar titled “Answering the Human Rights Due Diligence Call: An Effective Approach to Addressing Child Labour in ASM Copper-Cobalt”.


The webinar provided insights into current child labour challenges in the key mining regions surrounding Kolwezi spotlighted a collaborative programme with a long-term vision and holistic child rights approach that is currently being implemented in the DRC to prevent and remediate child labour in ASM communities. Attendees learnt how the programme works, what it has achieved to date, and how it fosters collaboration and strives towards being a sustainable solution that creates a real, positive impact. Swiss company dormakaba also discussed their reasons for investing in The Hub for the next ten years as part of their human rights due diligence strategy.
